"A New Series On Archaeology"
MESOPOTAMIA.
By Jean-Claude Margueron. Translated from the French by H. S. B.

This is the first of a 21-volume series being
manufactured in Switzerland, under the direction of Jean Marcado,
professor of archaeology at the University of Bordeaux. The series
titles is “Archaeology Mundi.”
This first volume seems to be directed at the large market for books in
archaeology and art history. The 130 reproductions of archaeological
objects, although good, are by no means outstanding, and the 53 pages of
text, while accurate and up-to-date, is very brief and has nothing to do
with the objects illustrated. On the whole the new series cannot compare
in price or quality with other similar works.
